File extension joboptions information

A file extension is the suffix at the end of file name which enables the operating system to know what kind of files it is dealing with so that it can automatically open or edit these files. They are usually three characters in length but can be anywhere from one to five characters in length. File extension JOBOPTIONS identifies a type of Adobe Acrobat file. These files are normally opened and used in Acrobat Distiller Job Options. JOBOPTIONS files can be imported from another format or they may be exported to a commonly used format.
The file extension JOBOPTIONS file saves information about specific job option settings used when using Adobe Acrobat Distiller to create PDF (Portable Document Format) documents. Distiller creates PDF documents from Postscript, Encapsulated Postscript (EPS) and PRN files. Corruption of Acrobat Distiller Job Options data normally occurs when the software application or the operating system crashes while the JOBOPTIONS data file is open in memory. The header or parts of the data file are not saved which leads to data corruption or data failure. Corruption may also be caused by viruses, software errors, human errors and hardware malfunctions.
